This scholarship is available to adult students or high school seniors at Metro Technology Centers enrolled in health occupations or health science education and scheduled to complete in May of the current year. The Dr. Donna Neal Thomas Scholarship was originally founded by the Mary Mahoney Memorial Health Center in honor of Dr. Donna Neal Thomas, the former Chief Executive Officer of Community Health Centers, Inc. It is maintained by regular donations from community leaders and the Metro Technology Centers employees. Dr. Thomas is passionate about healthcare and in collaboration with The Community Health Centers, Inc. Board of Directors she helped to establish the Perry Klaassen Medical Center at the Metro Technology Centers, Springlake Campus as well as the Mary Mahoney Health Center in Langston, OK. Dr. Thomas began her service as a Metro Tech Board of Education member in 1998 and was inducted into the African-American Hall of Fame in 2014. One scholarship for $1,000 will be awarded annually. Applications are accepted starting in February. Notice is made in April.
