Structural and Pipe Welder

Learn to do both structural and pipe welding to use in construction or structural steel fabrication or in the petroleum industry.  This major covers welding theory, fabrication, layout, print reading, welding symbols, math, and welding codes with specialized instruction in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (stick), Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), Flux-cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG) techniques. This major offers specialized preparation for both structural and pipe certification by the American Welding Society (AWS).
