Full-Time Students' Tuition Refund Policy

Full-time students who desire to withdraw from or drop a course or career major will request a tuition refund in writing and provide proof of withdrawal to the Bursar in the Business Conference Center, 1900 Springlake Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73111.  Non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal from a course/career major.

Full-time students will be entitled to the following refunds:

Completed between 25% and 50% of scheduled hours for career major

No refunds will be given for books, supplies, or any other non-tuition items. If a full-time student’s tuition is paid through financial aid or agency assistance, refunds will be handled according to the rules and policies of the tuition source.

 

Full-Time Students' Payment Schedule for
Tuition, Books and Supplies

Metro Tech students are responsible for ensuring that all fees for tuition, books and supplies are paid on time. Payments are to be made to the office of the Bursar in the Business Conference Center, 1900 Springlake Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73111-5238. Fees for tuition, books and supplies for full-time students are due and payable on the first day of class.

Students may make arrangements with the Bursar to establish a payment plan according to the following schedule:

Full-Time Student Payment Schedule

For career majors:

Fees for tuition, books and supplies will be collected:

Up to 1,650 hours

In two installments equal to one-half of the total cost of the tuition, books and supplies

  • First installment due within first 30 days of career major
  • Second installment due at beginning of the second half of the career major

1,651 hours and up (AMT, Pro Tech, Radiologic Technologist)

In four installments equal to one-fourth of the total cost of the tuition, books and supplies

  • First installment due within first 30 days of career major
  • Second through fourth installments due at beginning of each of those quarters of the career major

A $20 monthly penalty will be assessed on the unpaid balance of an installment.

Examples:

  • Automotive Service Consultant/Parts Specialist – 375 hours; $1,068 total fees; two installments of $534 each
  • Legal Receptionist – 645 hours; $3,321 total fees; two installments of $1,660.50 each
  • Electronics Technician – 1,080 hours; $2,763 total fees; two installments of $1,381.50 each
  • Aviation Maintenance Technician – 1,980 hours; $8,286 total fees; four installments of $2,071.50 each

A full-time student who does not pay fees for tuition, books, and supplies according to the schedule above will not be allowed to attend classes until all fees are paid or arrangements to establish a payment plan have been made through the Bursar.

Students who must repeat a course due to low scores will be required to pay additional tuition for the course that must be repeated.

Financial aid and/or agency-sponsored students are exempt from tuition penalties. Tuition collection for these students will follow Federal regulations and/or the sponsoring agency’s policy.

Tuition and fees may be paid by cash, check, money order, VISA, Discover, MasterCard or American Express.  Other fees for assessment, books, supplies, tools and special testing may apply.  Special note of this should be taken by individuals receiving employer reimbursement for technology training.  For total program costs call (405)595-4678
