Metro Tech Aviation Career Campus team wins first place in Drone Competition

Students from Metro Tech’s Aviation Career Campus (ACC) recently competed in the Green County Unmanned Aircraft System Competition hosted at the University of Tulsa – and they won first place.

The drone competition had a high school and college division, and it was judged by industry professionals such as an engineer from Google. Metro Tech was the only CareerTech school to compete, and judges were very impressed with their team.

The winning drone competition team: Connor Hilbern, Westmoore High School; Abraham Rodriguez, Northwest Classen High School; Logan Daily, adult student.

Metro Tech is an Oklahoma technology school that offers free tuition to Oklahoma City Public Schools, Crooked Oak Public Schools and Millwood Public Schools students.
