In Girl Scouts girls gain the confidence they need to succeed, make lifelong friendships and have fun while they learn. Perhaps most importantly, they discover the power of girls working together. Wyjuana and I talk about how Girls Scouting impacted my life and how it has changed to stay current. The organization is flexible for the professional woman to volunteer and get involved. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. Girl Scouts discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together, and you can be a part of it! There are many ways to become involved with Girl Scouts - both through girl memberships and adult memberships. Through the pathway program girls have the opportunity to learn new sports, sample the arts, explore career opportunities through the STEM (Science, Technology, Math and Engineering) program or better understand the world around them through camping? In Girl Scouts, the possibilities are endless for girls and adults.

Metro Tech Student Success Story

Toni is a MTC Graduate and sophomore at UCO in Edmond, OK. Toni shares her journey through the two years high school program she participated in at Metro Technology Centers. During the summers of her senior year and freshman year she had an Intern at JA Oil Field Manufacturing. Her job duties grew to include making international travel arrangements for the president of the company, customer service, quality control, accounting, and inventory. Toni offered one piece of advice to improve the student experience at Metro Technology Centers is to provide more real world business internships. This would allow students to understand business cultural.

As a retired Air Force and Army Officer Andy Pierce has been boxing sense the age of 8 years old. With numerous wins of his own Andy began to train others in the military and continue today with over 25 years of experience. He and his wife also retired from military life have returned to NE OKC to build a new business which will have a positive impact on the young boys and girls in the community.
