Complete a Full Time Program Application to receive priority consideration.

• November 1st is the priority application date for Spring Semester program start dates
• May 1st is the priority application date for Fall Semester program start dates
• Aviation Maintenance Technician priority application dates
  • November 1st is the priority application date for the AMT program starting in January
  • May 1st is the priority application date for the AMT program starting in July

Submit legible copies of the required documents in either jpg or pdf format to career.advisors@metrotech.edu:

Students are admitted to programs on the basis of their interest, indicators of ability to succeed in their chosen occupation, aptitude, and prior performance in school and work. Our career advisors use the list of documents below to help appropriately evaluate applicants.

• Official High School / GED / HiSET Transcript or Diploma
• Official College and/or CareerTech Transcripts
• Test Scores - ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer
  • Must be less than 2 years old.
  • Career Advisor will advise if any additional testing is needed.
• Proof of Prerequisite classes for Health Careers Program
  • Proof must include course name and grade earned, with hours and date completed.
• Veterans or Active Duty Military
  • Submit DD214 or proof of veteran status or active duty orders.

When you have completed your application and submitted appropriate documentation, call 405-424-TECH and contact a Career Advisor to discuss your next steps! We encourage all applicants to meet with a Career Advisor to explore program options, application questions, and discuss whether testing is appropriate based on prior performance in school and work.

If it is recommended that a student takes an entrance exam, testing is free and usually takes 2 to 3 hours; this is not a timed test.

• Schedule your tests at our Testing Center.
• Bring a valid photo I.D. (state drivers license, passport, or military I.D.)
• Most programs require testing in Arithmetic and Reading with some exceptions.
  • Aviation Maintenance Technician - Reading and QRAS
  • Radiologic Technology - Reading, QRAS, and Writing

When the adult application is complete and all required testing and documents have been turned in, students are placed on a waiting list and will receive an automated email regarding the application status.

Selection Process

Admission to Metro Tech is based on a point system with 24 points possible. Points are given for academic preparedness, education level, and interest indicators.

Applicants are selected beginning with the highest score, until all available slots are filled. Applicants who are not accepted into the class due to space limitations will be put on a waiting list.

As seats are limited, submitting your application and all required documentation by the priority deadline is crucial. Selections usually happen within a week of the priority deadline, and if you're chosen, be ready to accept your seat promptly to secure your spot in Metro Tech's high-demand Quality Career Programs.

Students will be notified by phone and/or email when a start date into your program is available.
