Financial Aid

Financial aid in the form of scholarships, grants, veteran's benefits, loans and tuition waiver programs are available for qualified persons enrolled in full-time career majors. Students may apply for the Federal Pell Grant and Direct Loans Programs online by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.studentaid.gov. The Metro Technology Centers financial aid office is available to assist you if your income has changed due to the pandemic or other reasons for loss of income.

Metro Technology Centers offers Veterans Educational Benefits & Resources

Currently, Metro Technology Centers has several Full Time Career Majors/Programs that are approved for Veterans and/or Dependents to receive Veterans' Education Benefits

More Information

To qualify for Federal student aid, you must:

  • Have a high school diploma, a GED, HiSet, or have the ability-to-benefit
  • Be enrolled as a regular student in and eligible program at least part-time at Metro Technology Centers
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • Make satisfactory academic progress
  • Certify, by signing a statement of Educational Purpose, that he or she will use federal student financial aid only to pay for educational costs
  • Is not in default on any Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Direct Loan, Federal Stafford Loan, or Federal Supplemental Loan for Students; and has not borrowed in excess of the loan limits, under Title IV programs, at any institution.
  • Must not owe an overpayment on a Pell Grant, Supplemental Grant or State Incentive Grant received at any institution.
  • Sign a statement of updated information
  • Show financial need
  • Have a social security number
