Veterans Educational Benefits & Resources

Metro Technology Centers offer several Career Majors/Programs that are approved by the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs State Approving Agency (ODVA SAA) for veterans and/or dependents to use Veterans’ Educational Benefits.

Students Called for Military Service

Service members and reservists will be readmitted to programs if they are temporarily unable to attend class or have to suspend their studies due to service requirements. Accommodations are made for short absences such as ‘Director Exemption’ days resulting from service obligations.

VA Payments and Reimbursements

Per Public Law 115-407, Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018, no VA beneficiary (CH 33/CH31) will be penalized for delayed VA payments.

Satisfactory Academic Progress

All students follow the same Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy. The Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy can be found on the Metro Technology Centers website under Financial Aid. In the event a student receiving financial aid or VA benefits has been placed on suspension due to unsatisfactory academic progress, the following must occur in order to regain eligibility:

The student must successfully complete 450 DESIGNATED HOURS (Hours Vary DEPENDANT UPON THE PROGRAM) at their own expense. OR- Complete the program/career major currently enrolled at their own expense. 

Approved Programs

All Full-Time Career Majors/Programs are eligible for VA benefits.
