Next Step Tuition Waiver

Tuition-Free Waiver for High School Seniors

The Next Step Waiver provides students that are no older than 21 years of age on July 1 with a tuition waiver for a Career Tech Training program. The waiver cannot be used for required textbooks, clothing or equipment and any other special classroom or lab fees required by the Career program you choose.

To qualify, students must be a graduate from a Metro Tech partner school and completed the application process. This one-time waiver is limited to the tuition cost for one full-time career major, up to 1050 hours.

In order to keep the scholarship, students must remain in good standing within the polices and procedures of Metro Tech. Students that are receiving federal student aid are also eligible to receive the Next Step Waiver. Students that are registered for tuition waivers through Oklahoma's Promise will be used in lieu of the Next Step Waiver.
