Workplace Health & Safety

Metro Tech Solutions Will Help Your Business Establish and Maintain an Effective Safety Training Program.

Metro Tech's Economic and Workforce Development team provides solutions for all your business safety needs.

Deploying more than 50 safety training programs to meet state and national training requirements, our team works with your safety professionals to develop solutions to help you manage your safety program.

An effective safety training program is vital to your business. Promoting a safety culture can reduce injuries and deaths, property damage, legal liability, illnesses, workers' compensation claims, and time missed from work.

An innovative, effective safety training program can also help you keep the required OSHA-mandated safety training courses organized and up-to-date and train new employees in the importance of workforce safety.

Employers should remember they are legally responsible for establishing and maintaining a safety program that includes educating employees on workplace safety standards and the hazards they may face on the job.

In the downtown area, businesses have unique safety concerns. Large buildings undergo maintenance every day, with painters, electricians, plumbers and general maintenance people working in offices and high-traffic public spaces. It's important that employees, particularly managers, be trained to recognize unsafe situations in the workplace. Building owners and operators of multi-story buildings, in terms of managing their properties, also have exclusive safety issues related to exterior maintenance, such as window washing.

Metro Tech provides solutions to your unique oil and gas safety needs.

  • SafelandUSA Training gives each student an overview of life and safety issues in the oil and gas industry. This program meets API RP 75 & API RP T-1 requirements and provides a basic awareness of certain general safety information that an employee should know before entering a company facility and while performing their assigned work duties.
  • PEC H2S Clear Training will improve employee safety performance for general industry workers who may come in contact with hydrogen sulfide during their regular day-to-day job duties. While not only improving safety performance, this course also prepares general industry workers by providing crucial knowledge of the dangers of H2S and the precautions, tools and controls necessary when working in H2S environments. This course covers the current classroom requirements of ANSI Z390.1 and is designed to meet the new ANSI requirements.

Metro Tech's professional industrial coordinators and certified safety trainers will work with your company to review existing programs and develop a comprehensive plan for training and management.
