Radiologic Technology - How to Apply - Mission, Goals & Outcomes

MISSION:
The Radiologic Technology career major provides an accredited plan of study within the framework of the career and technology education system that prepares individuals for employment in the performance of medical imaging procedures along with their accompanying responsibilities. 

GOALS/STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Goal #1 – Students will be clinically competent

       Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will apply positioning skills
  2. Students will select appropriate technical factors
  3. Students will practice radiation protection

Goal #2 – Students will demonstrate communication skills

       Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will demonstrate written communication skills
  2. Students will demonstrate oral communication skills

Goal #3 – Students will develop critical thinking skills

       Student Learning Outcomes:

  1.  Students will adapt standard procedures for non-routine patients
  2. Students will adapt technical factors to improve image quality
