Computer/Network Support Technician
Learn to install, configure and support an organization’s local area network (LAN) as well as to analyze situations and data requirements and to assist and manage moves and installation of existing and new equipment. Students learn to install, configure, maintain and manage a Windows 2008 Server Active Directory and Network Infrastructure environment. Students in this major gain the technical skills required for the CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and work towards the server-based certifications: Microsoft Technology Specialist (MCTS) which includes Active Directory Configuration, Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration, and Windows Server 2008 Administrator; and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
