Black History Month Celebration “In Living Color” Slated for February 27

Metro Tech’s 2025 Black History Month Celebration, “In Living Color,” will bring Black history and culture to life, honoring vibrant contributions through art and community. The free public event is scheduled for Thursday, February 27th, 2025, at the Metro Tech Conference Center, 1900 Springlake Dr., Oklahoma City, 73111.

Attendees can expect a showcase of local Black-owned business vendors, community resources, speakers, food, and entertainment. Vendor registration is now open through February 14.

This year, the event will be enhanced with various new additions, including a talent showcase featuring Metro Tech students, live music, and interactive activities.

“Our Black History Month Celebration has continued to grow each year,” Khanita Jefferson, Event Coordinator and Student liaison, said. “We’re proud to provide a space where local Black-owned businesses can showcase their products and services. It’s a meaningful way to celebrate the community through culture, pride, and unity."
