Business Technology Students Place at National Competition
Three adult students from Metro Tech's Accounting and Legal Office programs placed top 10 in competitions at the National Business Professionals of America Conference in Chicago.
Tiffany Geimausaddle placed 2nd overall in the Legal Office Procedures competition. Other placing students included Sharita Searcy, who placed in the top 10 in Business Law and Ethics, and Rocky Martinez, who placed in the top 10 in Fundamental Accounting.
"Representing Metro Tech and demonstrating the skills I've learned at a national level was an incredible experience," Geimausaddle said. "These competitions have allowed me to step into my new career confidently."
One of the largest and most diverse technology centers in Oklahoma, Metro Tech has four campuses offering short-term, career and customized business training options. Campuses are located in South Oklahoma. City, Northeast Oklahoma City, Downtown Oklahoma City and the Will Rogers Airport.
Metro Tech has promoted several officials to various district leadership positions for the 2024-2025 fiscal year.
The Oklahoma Association for Career and Technical Education (OkACTE) Summit Conference gathers more than 4,000 professionals for professional development and recognition of significant contributions to CareerTech education across the state.
The Metro Tech Aviation Campus at the Will Rogers World Airport, 5600 S MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73179, will host an open house on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 10 a.m. to Noon.
