Metro Tech Students Place at 2025 BPA State Leadership Conference
Metro Tech students showcased their skills at the Oklahoma State Business Professionals of America (BPA) Leadership Conference in Tulsa, placing in the top 10 in various competitive events. Students who secured first place and will advance to the National BPA Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida, this May.
Secondary (S) and post-secondary (PS) students who competed represent Metro Tech’s Cybersecurity, Multimedia Journalism, Accounting, Legal Office, and Medical Office programs.
Placing first and advancing to the national competition were Legal Office student Sharita Searcy in Legal Office Procedures and Medical Office student Nneka Ekpek in Health Administration Procedure.

The Baldrige Performance Excellence Program has announced Dr. Kayleen Wichert, Metro Tech Senior Director of Instructional Quality & Workforce Engagement, as an executive member of the 2025 Baldrige Executive Fellows Program.
Jeanean Yanish Jones took the oath of office as Metro Tech's new District 1 board member during the April 8 Board of Education meeting.
Seven Metro Tech students have been announced as recipients of the Metro Tech Foundation's 2025 Sowing the Seeds of Success Scholarships.
