Business Technology Students Place in Top 10 at National Competitions
Two Metro Technology Center students competed and placed in top 10 last week at the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, CA.
Adult Legal Office Services Student Adriana Mancinas placed seventh in the Legal Office Procedures competition and 14th in Business Law and Ethics. Adult Information Technology Student Tristan Adams placed fifth in the Computer Security competition.
The students placed first in these categories at the state competition, qualifying them for nationals. The conference was titled “Discover Your Purpose” and offered professional workshops for students and advisors looking to network and expand their knowledge.
In attendance with the students were Legal Office Services and Accounting Instructor Brenda Anderson and CareerTech Organization Advisor Bonnie Logan who said it was exciting to hear the student’s names announced among the final winners.
“It takes courage to compete at a national level,” Logan said. “We are so proud of these Business Technology students and know they will enter the workforce with confidence.”
