Metro Tech Board of Education Appoints New District 2 Board Member
The Metro Tech Board of Education has appointed Collin Walke to fill the position of District Seat No. 2. Following the May 2025 meeting, the Board announced an opening and accepted applications for the vacant seat. Walke was sworn in during a special board meeting held on Monday, June 30.
An attorney and partner at the law firm Hall Estill, Walke brings a distinguished record of public service and legal expertise to his new role. He previously served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, representing District 87, where he was a champion for education, data privacy, and community development.
“I’ve dedicated my career to serving the people of Oklahoma and advocating for opportunities that uplift our communities,” Walke said. “Metro Tech plays a vital role in workforce development, and I look forward to supporting its mission of helping students and families thrive through career-focused education.”
Walke also holds a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law and has earned multiple certifications in information privacy and business analytics. Metro Tech Superintendent and CEO Aaron Collins said Walke’s background reflects a strong alignment with the district’s commitment to innovation, student success, and workforce readiness.
“Mr. Walke brings a wealth of legal expertise, public service experience, and a deep understanding of our city’s needs,” Collins said. “His perspective will be an asset as we continue building strong pathways from education to employment for students across our district.”
One of the largest and most diverse technology centers in Oklahoma, Metro Tech has four campuses offering short-term, career and customized business training options. Campuses are located in South Oklahoma City, Northeast Oklahoma City, Downtown Oklahoma City and the Will Rogers Airport.

Several Metro Tech adult students earned top honors at the HOSA–Future Health Professionals International Leadership Conference, held last week in Nashville.
The Metro Tech Foundation Board of Directors has announced Matthew Wade as its new executive director.
