Greg Jones Elected to Serve District 5 on Metro Tech Board of Education, Board Officers Announced

Greg Jones has been elected to represent District 5 on the Metro Tech Board of Education and was officially sworn in during the board’s monthly meeting on April 20, 2026. He will serve a four-year term.

With more than 25 years of experience in economic development, small business consulting, leadership training and risk management, Jones has built a career focused on strengthening Oklahoma’s workforce pipeline and supporting long-term economic growth.

“I believe in creating opportunities for individuals to build skills, grow as leaders, and pursue meaningful careers,” Jones said. “I look forward to contributing to that mission and helping expand opportunities for the Metro Tech community.”

Jones holds a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Oklahoma and currently serves as a business advisor with the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center in partnership with Restore OKC. In addition, Jones is the co-founder of TeenpreneurOKC, a youth entrepreneurship initiative that equips students with practical business knowledge, leadership skills and real-world experience.

He is also an adjunct instructor at Oklahoma City Community College, and provides strategic consulting through Organizational CFO, LLC, and has held leadership roles across the community, including director of Community Outreach for Centennial Health Clinic and director of talent and business growth for the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce.

During the meeting, the board also elected officers for 2026–2027. District 6 Board Member Miriam Campos was elected to serve as Board President, while District 1 Board Member Jeanean Yanish Jones will fill the role of Vice President. Saul Ortiz, who was appointed to District 7 in June 2025, was also sworn in as an elected member and will serve as Board Clerk.
