Metro Tech Health Careers, STEM Students Excel at State HOSA Competitions
More than 30 Metro Tech Health Careers and STEM students placed in the top five in competitions at the 2026 HOSA–Future Health Professionals Oklahoma State Leadership Conference in Norman, with several first-place winners advancing to international competitions in Indianapolis this June.
The 2026 HOSA State Leadership Conference brought secondary (high school) and post-secondary (adult) students from across the state to compete in a variety of medical science-related events designed to assess technical knowledge, clinical skills, and leadership ability. Additionally, industry professionals create, oversee, and judge competitions.

More than 60 Metro Tech high school and adult students placed in the top three at the 2026 Oklahoma SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference in Tulsa, with several 1st place winners earning qualification to compete at the national level in Atlanta this June.

Greg Jones has been elected to represent District 5 on the Metro Tech Board of Education and was officially sworn in during the board’s monthly meeting on April 20, 2026. He will serve a four-year term.
