Metro Tech Foundation Announces 2025 Scholarship Recipients
Seven Metro Tech students have been announced as recipients of the Metro Tech Foundation's 2025 Sowing the Seeds of Success Scholarships. A total of $8,000 will be distributed amongst the students as they are recognized at the 15th annual banquet on Friday, April 11, at Camp Trivera.
Scholarships recipients are:
- Stacey Stephens, Practical Nursing; Jovanna Sanchez, Aviation - $1,000 Dye Family Scholarships
- Sophia Ojerio Reyes, Biomedical Science - $2,000 Dr. James Branscum “Character First” Scholarship
- Nour Soulane, Biomedical Science - $1,000 "#BeLikeKeith" Memorial Scholarship
- Michelle Guzman, Biomedical Science - $1,000 Dr. Dennis L. Portis, III Memorial Scholarship
- Jenice Jackson, Practical Nursing - $1,000 Dr. Donna Neal Thomas Memorial Scholarship
- JaiAniyah Ward, Computer Science – $1,000 Mark Vincent Memorial Scholarship
Scholarships are endowed by family or friends of the named individual and supported by funding from The Metro Tech Foundation.
Foundation Executive Director Ashleigh Gibson says the organization values the opportunity to recognize Metro Tech students' hard work and looks forward to honoring them at the Sowing the Seeds of Success banquet.
"Our mission is to support the students of Metro Tech by breaking down financial barriers and ensuring they have access to all the resources we work hard to develop," Gibson said. "The Sowing the Seeds of Success Banquet serves as an opportunity to recognize their accomplishments and the work that the Foundation is doing to help them achieve their goals."
