Metro Tech Native American Heritage Event Invites Community to Celebrate Culture and Tradition

Metro Tech invites the community to celebrate culture, tradition, and artistry at its second annual Native American Heritage Month event on Thursday, November 13, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Metro Tech Conference Center, 1900 Springlake Drive, Oklahoma City, OK. This year's event, titled "Tribal Nations in Action," will showcase renowned artists, local Native jewelry and art vendors, and traditional dance demonstrations.

Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from tribal representatives and experience presentations highlighting the diversity and resilience of Oklahoma's tribal nations. Featured presentations and vendors include a presentation and display of Native American art by nationally renowned artist and educator Paul King; dance performances by the Oklahoma City Public Schools' ResoNative Dance Troupe, and more.

"Metro Tech is proud to host this celebration as part of our continued commitment to education, cultural awareness, and community connection," said Terry Spencer, Event Coordinator and Finance Manager. “We also look forward to opening this experience to our students, giving them the opportunity to learn, engage, and celebrate tribal nations.
