Metro Tech Welcomes New Leaders in Workforce Engagement and Student Services

Metro Tech has named Cori Gray as Senior Director of Workforce and Community Engagement and Michael Hoggatt as Director of Enrollment and Student Services. Their addition to the district will strengthen leadership across key areas that connect students, businesses, and community partners with Metro Tech’s education, training, and support services.

"Ms. Gray and Mr. Hoggatt bring valuable experience to two areas that are central to Metro Tech’s mission,” said Superintendent and CEO David Martin. “Their leadership will strengthen how we connect students with education and career opportunities, support them throughout their journey, and respond to the workforce needs of our community.”

A graduate of Langston University, Gray holds extensive experience in education, workforce development, and community engagement. Most recently, she served as Director of Student Success for the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, where she provided executive leadership and strategic oversight for statewide initiatives supporting PK–12 school districts, technology centers, business and industry partnerships, workforce development priorities, and organizational excellence.

In her new role, Gray will provide leadership and strategic oversight for Metro Tech’s workforce and economic development initiatives, business and industry partnerships, conference and event services, and community wellness programs.

"I am honored to serve Metro Tech and our community," Gray said. "What excites me most is the opportunity to build relationships, strengthen partnerships, and help create pathways for student success no matter their age or background. I believe education changes lives, and I look forward to connecting people with opportunities that support growth, workforce success, and a stronger community."

In his new role, Hoggatt will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for Metro Tech’s enrollment management and student support functions, including student services, career advisement, recruitment and admissions, testing, registration, and customer-facing enrollment operations.

Prior to Metro Tech, Hoggatt acted as Director of Recruitment and International Student Services at Oklahoma City Community College. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, including more than 15 years in student recruitment, Hoggatt has overseen record-setting transfer enrollment, developed signature recruitment events, and contributed to institutional enrollment management and accreditation initiatives.

“I look forward to collaborating with departments across the district to expand our reach, connect more students with educational opportunities, and grow enrollment,” Hoggatt said.

One of the largest and most diverse technology centers in Oklahoma, Metro Tech has four campuses offering short-term, career and customized business training options. Campuses are located in South Oklahoma City, Northeast Oklahoma City, Downtown Oklahoma City and the Will Rogers Airport.
