Metro Tech Unveils New Logo
OKLAHOMA CITY – Metro Technology Centers has officially announced the launch of its new branding and logo, embodying a vision that represents the continuous growth of the District.
“While our current logo has served us well for 20 years, we realized our students expressed a desire for a fresh look,” Metro Tech Superintendent Aaron Collins said. “As we move forward with Vision 2025, it is the perfect time to evaluate our brand and image.”
The decision for new branding stems from two significant components. The first is implementation of the District’s “Vision 2025” strategic plan outlining specific goals for enrollment, employment, partnerships, and investments.
Metro Tech’s “Vision 2025” strategic plan is built on four pillars:
1. Academic Excellence and Quality Career Training.
2. Empowered Employees as Valued Team Members.
3. Community and Workforce Partnerships.
4. Infrastructure, Growth and Investments.
The second component comes from various studies conducted by the Marketing and Communications Department. Ninety-three percent of students within designated focus groups voted for new District-wide branding.
Taking this feedback into account, 30 different versions of a new logo were produced and then narrowed down by the focus groups before deciding on the final design.
The new logo and branding will now be integrated into wayfinding and signage, metrotech.edu, social media, and print and digital materials.
Media Advisory:
While “Metro Technology Centers” continues to serve as our official and legal name, “Metro Tech” can be used on the first or second reference.
