Metro Technology Centers Announces Update On Continuous Learning Plan

Online Learning

As our state continues to fight the spread of COVID-19, the State Board of Education voted on 3/25/2020 that Oklahoma students should not return to the classroom for the remainder of the current school year. The board instead recommended a continuous learning plan that will allow students to complete the school year at home. Effective April 6th all Career Tech students will be on a virtual learning platform. We understand this news raises many questions as it relates to not only our high school students enrolled at Metro Technology Centers but our adult students as well. We are committed to providing the best resources to ensure Metro Tech students receive the same quality learning experience with relevance and rigor via distance learning. Our instructional team has been working diligently to add virtual and video/conference learning to our current career tech programs.  Teachers and other MTC staff members will be reaching out to enrolled students.

This plan applies to all instructional operations, extracurricular activities, meetings, and events scheduled on Metro Tech campuses.

We will continue to monitor the situation. Any updates will be shared with the public here and via our social media sites. For accurate information on COVID-19, visit the State Department of Health website.
