STEM Academy Pre-Engineering Students volunteer for Habitat for Humanity

STEM Academy Pre-Engineering Students from Northeast High School put their Civil Engineering and Architectural class curriculum into a community service project for Habitat For Humanity on November 21. The students, accompanied by their teachers, Sharon Freeman and Janet Portwood, spent the day applying concepts learned in the classroom.

"The students worked hard all day. The hands-on experience helps them understand classroom curriclum on a different level and give back in the community at the same time," Janet said.
