Nursing Basics - High School

The Nursing Basics High School program is a series of courses available to high school seniors who are working on credit hours for a health career. Students will learn how to identify patient problems, identify appropriate interventions, and evaluate nursing care. At the conclusion of this program, students who pass with a minimum of 70% or higher will be eligible to obtain their CNA or AUA certification. Additionally, students who pass their courses and complete the program with an 80% or higher are eligible to transition into the Practical Nursing Programs offered at Metro Technology Centers. This program starts in August and ends the following May and all classes completed in the Basic Nursing High School program are considered advanced credit for our Practical Nursing programs.
