Radiologic Technology - Missions, Goals & Outcomes

Mission

The Metro Technology Centers Radiologic Technology program utilizes an accredited plan of study to provide an educational journey by instilling students with knowledge and skills to become an entry level technologist who will serve the communities healthcare needs.

Goal #1 - Students will be clinically competent.

Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will apply positioning skills.
  2. Students will select appropriate technical factors.
  3. Students will practice radiation protection.

Goal #2 - Students will demonstrate communication skills.

Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will demonstrate written communication skills.
  2. Students will demonstrate oral communication skills.

Goal #3 - Students will develop critical thinking skills.

Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will adapt standard procedures for non-routine patients.
  2. Students will adapt technical factors to improve image quality.

Goal #4 - Students will model professionalism.
