PLTW Computer Science Academy
- STEM
Students in this major will study computer science and programming through the rigorous Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum that will provide students hands on projects, labs, and experiences. Students will work on real-world challenges and work together to find solutions, learn computational thinking, and how to code. Students who complete this program will have been exposed to a diverse curriculum that will better equip them to choose and be successful in a major at the college/university level. Students will also have the strong math and science foundation needed to be prepared for a college/university program in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related fields.
NOTE: Students will take the required PLTW courses. They will then take a combination of elective PLTW courses, math and sciences as determined by course availability to complete the remaining 480 hours for 2-year students, or 960 hours for 3-year students.
